Is there an existing proposal for this?

  • I did not find any existing requests.

Explain your idea

Similar to how Sag mill now displays and tracks processing catalyst types with remaining amount on the same tooltil when you mouse over the little catalyst bar, a detailed power info (generation- consumption rf/t - power per cycle, etc.).

One example is having a stirling generator with loot capacitor that modifies fuel burn : energy production by a factor of 3.259 but it doesn't actually display the amount of power that's produced per tick when you mouse over the energy bar (only shows total capacity modified by the cap.).

This feature was present in the 1.12 build of the mod if i remember correctly!
If this is a planned feature to return in 1.20/1.21 having everything into a mouse over the energy bar that displays all that should be neat!!

Why do you thing this feature belongs in Ender IO.

It would be a very handy mouse over info box for managing an early game system, to avoid unnecessary power demand bottlenecks or production stalling and provide better future planning for improvement or giving an insight how a player can go about building their systems!

Are there any alternatives?

Alternatives would be items or blocks from other "tech" or "energy"mods that can read power traffic running through them and display a readable output for players but makes them more complex and/or time consuming and resource demanding!
It is also dependent on other mods being present for that functionality to be available.

Any Additional Information?

Like in the image above but in a "mouse over on the energy bar" format to keep everything simple and clean.
or just the way it was in 1.12, either ways work or the one that has the least amount of headaches to implement!!!
